CANVASSING FOR COMMUNITY CARE

Every couple of years, candidates and others try to knock on the doors of every voter and potential voter in a district. If they aren't knocking on the door, they are calling, they are texting. What if instead of simply asking for a vote, we actually checked in with our neighbors? Helped them feel seen, heard, and cared for?

This campaign is part of a movement in the community organizing space that hopes to center real care in the way we go about campaigning and governing. We will be training folks in this model of community engagement and building a connected community in Oceanside. Join us for the overview and to help us listen to our neighbors about what's on their minds and what they need from their city government.
