Hello Friend,
It’s another week here building community and doing the work. I’m so happy to report that on Saturday, I received the endorsement of the North Coastal Caucus of the Democratic Party. That means we will have the support of the county party, and that’s huge! It will help so much to be included in the GO TEAM canvassing operation they roll out on the way to November. Not to mention the legitimacy these endorsements add. I am so humbled and grateful for their confidence in me.

Spent last Saturday at the San Diego Progressive Labor Summit at the Convention Center and left feeling inspired!
It was amazing to be in a space with so many local leaders, union organizers, and folks who care deeply about our communities. I got to listen, learn, and have some really meaningful conversations!

I spoke at the residents’ meeting at Laguna Vista Mobile Home Park in Oceanside, where residents shared their concerns about the community and local issues. There was a lot of engagement, and people were pretty open about what they’re dealing with.
Folks want a city council member who stays engaged and makes themselves available—not just at campaign time, but year-round. We’ve started a listserv for mobile home park leaders in District 2, and we are visiting each park to talk with residents. We will continue active and regular communication with park leaders so they always know they have a direct line to their representative.
Overall, it was a really energizing meeting and a great opportunity to connect directly with residents. We made new friends and recruited more volunteers for this people-powered campaign! Let’s go!
