My husband John has been joining me to do canvassing on our bikes. Not only are we able to enjoy the beautiful evenings in Oceanside together, but we are able to talk to voters AND get a little exercise. I'm also finding out more about just how lacking our streets are in bike-friendly design. The need for investment in street design that is bike and pedestrian friendly is a message I hope to amplify at city hall. All of this riding is giving me a ton of real life experience to hopefully add credibility to my contributions to the conversation.

One of the things I am getting a kick out of on these rides is seeing our yard signs up in the neighborhoods we visit. I'd love to bring YOU a yard sign if you'd do us the honor of putting one up in your yard.
