Every Sunday morning, the group keeps growing. We gather in community and connection, share some coffee, laughter and learning, then divvy up materials and head out to talk to folks in neighborhoods all over District 2.

What we are discovering out there is something many of us already felt in our bones: people are longing for connection. When things feel heavy, a genuine conversation with someone who feels value-aligned can give you real hope.

Neighbors are eager to share what is on their minds. Not to vent into a void, but because they are ready for collaborative solutions. Not more division. Not more disconnect. Something better. It has been inspiring.

If knocking on doors is not your thing, we are also building out our calling and texting program. If that feels more like you, just reply to this email and let me know. I want to make sure we are ready for you when you are ready for us.

And if any of this feels a little outside your comfort zone, I want to offer you this: doing things that make us a little nervous, surrounded by people who genuinely care about each other, is one of the best ways to grow. This moment in history may very well need each of us to stretch a little, together, so that together we are strong enough to lift us out of some of the messes we have inherited.

This run for city council is pushing me far out of my own comfort zone. I am much more comfortable being behind the scenes, nose buried in policy papers, cheering on the folks out on the front lines. But I also recognize that this is the moment our mentors were talking about. When we would have to dig deep. Do the hard things because people need us. If we have ANY privilege at this moment of human history, we must put it to work for the greater good.

So this hard thing is what I am doing. But I am not doing it alone. And no-one has to. We are so much stronger together. This belief has been affirmed every single day of this campaign so far. Thank you.

Take a look at this map. It shows every precinct in District 2. Maybe there is a neighborhood you want to know better. Maybe a friend lives there. Maybe you do. Let us give you the toolkit to start having real conversations and building the community of care that will outlast this election.

Yes, we have a city council race to win. But we are not letting this moment pass without building something that lasts. Because beyond elections, it is neighbor to neighbor care that gets us through the hardest times.
