Community Care & Safety
Emergency Prep
The safest neighborhoods are the ones that know each other before the emergency. Here's where to start in District 2.
01
Make a plan
Agree on a meeting spot, an out-of-area contact, and how you'll reach family members who don't share a phone plan.
02
Build a kit
Water for three days per person, medications, copies of documents, chargers, and supplies for pets and infants.
03
Know your alerts
Sign up for county emergency alerts and know your evacuation route out of D2 before you need it.
04
Know your neighbors
Check on elders, disabled neighbors, and anyone living alone. A block that talks is a block that survives.
